I've been looking for something to add to my new
site, to fill out the page with a little more content, but haven't really
come up with much yet. Today, I was thinking of putting a
Weather Pixie on the sidebar, but after
looking through the available artwork for it, none of them seem to really
match the style I want to have on the site. Ideally, I'd like to be able to
use the Tango weather icons, or draw
up some awesome ninja monkey weather icons, and not have to sign a blood
contract with Weather.com or someone, to
be able to have the weather data on my site. Also, avoiding a relational
database to cache the little bit of data there is, would also be a good thing.
If anyone knows of any good little PHP or PERL scripts for this, please let
me know.

So, having seen J5's latest blog entry, I felt a
bit inspired to look into doing something I had previously been thinking of
doing for a while now. That is, of course, writing a book myself. Particularly
on the subjects of usability and design, in a general sense. I'll probably end
up with an outline sometime this weekend, and should have an entire book
written a month or so later.

GOOD OLD-FASHIONED BOOK BURNING INSTEAD! --Pokey
